WHAT IS URETHANE COATING?
Urethane (polyurethane) coatings are two-component, high-performance topcoats that deliver outstanding UV stability, color retention, and abrasion resistance. Unlike epoxy alone, urethane maintains gloss and flexibility even under direct sunlight and harsh weather, making it the preferred finish coat for exterior structures, fleet vehicles, and industrial equipment across the Quad Cities.

The Process
HOW WE APPLY IT
Surface Preparation
Abrasive blast cleaning to SSPC-SP 6 or SP 10 near-white metal. All rust, mill scale, and contamination removed before any coating is applied.
Primer / Intermediate Coat
Epoxy primer or intermediate coat applied to the prepared surface, building film thickness and providing corrosion inhibition before the urethane topcoat.
Urethane Topcoat Application
Two-component urethane mixed and spray-applied at specified DFT. Final inspection and DFT readings documented before project sign-off.
System Selection
URETHANE COATING SYSTEMS
