Request On-Site ServiceWHAT IS DUSTLESS BLASTING?
Dustless blasting combines water and abrasive media inside the blast pot, encapsulating dust particles before they ever leave the nozzle. The result is a wet slurry that strips surfaces to bare metal just like traditional sandblasting, but without the massive dust cloud. It's the same aggressive surface prep, done cleaner.
- Up to 92% reduction in airborne dust compared to dry blasting
- Simultaneously cleans and cools the surface, no flash rust for hours
- Works on steel, concrete, wood, fiberglass, and more
- Eliminates the need for full containment tenting on most jobs
- SSPC surface prep standards achieved: SP-6, SP-10, and SP-5 near-white
HOW IT WORKS
Water + Abrasive Mixed
Water is injected directly into the blast pot, mixing with the abrasive media to form a pressurized wet slurry before it ever reaches the nozzle.
Slurry Hits the Surface
The wet slurry exits at high velocity, stripping rust, paint, mill scale, and coatings to the specified SSPC profile, with the water suppressing dust on impact.
Surface Ready for Coating
A rust inhibitor in the water prevents flash rust for several hours, giving your coating crew a clean, profiled surface ready to accept primer or topcoat.
ABRASIVE MEDIA WE USE
We select the right media for your surface, coating system, and profile requirement, no guesswork.
Steel Grit
High ProfileAngular steel particles cut deep anchor profiles for high-build coatings. Best for heavy rust and mill scale removal on ferrous metals.
Garnet
Medium ProfileHard, angular mineral abrasive. Produces a consistent anchor profile with minimal embedment. Low free silica, safer for operators.
Crushed Glass
Medium ProfileRecycled glass grit is sharp, clean, and chemically inert. Excellent for non-ferrous surfaces and environmentally sensitive job sites.
Coal Slag
High ProfileDense, angular slag delivers aggressive cutting action and fast production rates. Cost-effective for large-scale structural steel projects.
Aluminum Oxide
Medium-High ProfileExtremely hard and sharp. Ideal when a very consistent, tight anchor profile is required on hardened or specialty metals.
Glass Bead
Low ProfileSpherical beads produce a smooth, peened finish without cutting deep. Used for light cleaning, deburring, and cosmetic surface prep.
APPLICATIONS
Dustless blasting is the right call when dust containment, surface sensitivity, or job site conditions make dry blasting impractical.
