Silo & Facility Structure Restoration

Corroded silos and facility structures don't have to mean full replacement. We blast, repair, and seal with industrial polyurea, restoring structural integrity at a fraction of the cost.

The Challenge

Corroded Silos & Structures, Too Valuable to Replace

Grain silos, storage tanks, and large facility structures take a beating, years of moisture, temperature cycling, and chemical exposure eat through coatings and into the steel. When corrosion sets in, the instinct is to replace. But replacement costs are enormous, and in most cases, the structure itself is still sound.

Our approach: blast it back to bare metal, make any necessary structural repairs, and seal the entire structure with a high-build industrial polyurea system. The result is a corrosion-resistant, weatherproof finish that extends service life by decades, at a fraction of replacement cost.

How We Restore It

01Surface Prep

Abrasive Blast to Bare Metal

Abrasive blasting strips the structure down to bare metal, removing rust, old coatings, mill scale, and contaminants. We work to SSPC standards to ensure the new coating system bonds properly and lasts for the long haul.

  • Strip rust, old coatings, and mill scale to bare metal
  • Achieve SSPC SP-6 commercial or SP-10 near-white metal
  • Clean all weld seams, edges, and hard-to-reach areas

02Protective Seal

Prime and Coating Application

A corrosion-inhibiting primer is applied immediately after blasting to lock in the surface and prevent flash rust. We then spray-apply industrial-grade polyurea or immersion coating over the primed surface, creating a seamless, flexible, and fully waterproof barrier. Immersion coatings are used where the structure will be in continuous contact with water, chemicals, or submerged environments. The fast-cure system lets us complete large structures quickly with minimal downtime.

  • Apply corrosion-inhibiting primer immediately after blast
  • Spray-apply polyurea or immersion coating at proper mil thickness
  • Immersion-grade systems for tanks, culverts, and submerged structures
  • Seamless, pinhole-free coverage on all surfaces

Final Inspection and Sign-Off

Every restored structure is inspected for coating adhesion, mil thickness, and full coverage before we sign off. We verify the system is sealed, corrosion-resistant, and ready to return to service.

  • Inspect coating adhesion and mil thickness throughout
  • Verify full coverage with no holidays or thin spots
  • Confirm structure is ready for full operational return
